“They can’t take this away from me”
You don’t have to be locked away. Here’s your chance to enjoy making music with the Musical Box Scheme.
“We’ll meet again…and again…and again”
You’ll be in touch with us on the phone, online – or even your doorstep. We’ll help with computer issues and even provide musical instruments, delivered once a month.
If you or a loved one are older and isolated due to your health, this FREE scheme is for you. No musical experience necessary!
“What a glorious feeling, I’m happy again.”
Our DBS-checked musician makes online or doorstep visits once a month at a convenient time to make and chat about music with you.
This is an opportunity to make music together and share the music you love with us, a friend or loved one.
We are looking forward to learning about your favourite music!
Please get in contact to discuss ways in which we can support you or your loved one to make music. Email Anna firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01273 569096 for more details.
**NB: we can fit around your schedule: if you book a date here, Anna will be in contact to discuss the best day and time for your first session**
Musical Box Scheme is an Open Strings Music project, funded by Thomas Deane Trust and Brighton and Hove City Council.
Open Strings Music is Brighton & Hove’s specialist community music service for adults of all abilities; our dementia-friendly sessions, Sing and Play, have been commissioned by Brighton & Hove CCG since 2016. We have delivered these in 13 locations throughout the city during that time, in community centres, seniors’ housing schemes, and social clubs. www.openstrings.co.uk/musical-box-scheme
