Strings at Twilight – new all-abilities adults’ evening class September NOW BOOKING

‘Starting as a total beginner, you have brought me on to the point where I can play. That is a total plus. Without the initial introduction and then your encouragement it would never have happened. Joining the project has changed my life, now making music is part of my everyday and I’m loving it!’

Strings at Twilight is a new mixed-ability group for any adult who wants to play a cello, violin or viola, regardless of experience. Modelled on our successful weekly string project, Silver Strings, this class is suitable for complete beginners and more experienced players alike – we can even provide instruments for new players on request.
Strings at Twilight is an evening class where we will explore soundmaking and familiar music, string-playing fundamentals, and musical building blocks in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to bring in their own ideas and suggestions for the group to try, within the structured weekly format.
Participants say that our sessions are ‘very inspiring and informative’, that ‘I’ve been looking for workshops like this for years!’ and ‘I feel a sense of achievement when I find I’m thinking about something in a new way’.
