Book now for NEW music and dementia project, Sing Healthy Sing Happy, starts October ’14

Sing Healthy Play Happy is a new FREE weekly music group for people with dementia and their carers, starting in October ’14 at the Phoenix Community Centre, central Brighton.

In these fun, gentle and supportive sessions we will:

  • sing familiar and new songs together
  • explore instruments and sounds
  • try out material to use at home
  • move gently to music
  • make new friends

Making music together is good for us! It lifts our spirits and helps us relax – it can really take us out of ourselves and give us a break, even for a short while.

Spaces are limited so please book now for the first ten weeks – October-December ’14: call Isabel 01273 965350 or email isabel@musicforconnection.co.uk

Come to our free taster session on Friday 12th September, 10-11am, to meet us and find out more – everyone’s welcome.

Sing Healthy Play Happy is an Open Strings Music CIC project, part-funded by Sussex Community Foundation and facilitated by Goldsmiths University of London -trained community musicians Amy Hill & Isabel Emerson.

All sessions will be held at the Phoenix Centre, 2 Phoenix Place, Brighton, BN2 9ND (just behind Phoenix Gallery, opposite St Peter’s Church). By bus: no.25 stops outside St. Peter’s Church and it’s a short walk to the venue, which is fully accessible.
